Meet Your COACH
Chichi Omenihu is a respected boxing coach, mentor, and youth leader whose work extends far beyond the sport itself. Through years of experience in boxing, coaching, and community engagement, Chichi has built a reputation for connecting with young people in a powerful and authentic way.
His approach combines discipline, encouragement, mentorship, and leadership to help young people develop confidence, emotional resilience, accountability, and self-belief. Chichi has worked closely with schools, youth centres, and community organisations throughout Perth, delivering impactful sessions that create lasting positive outcomes for participants.
What makes Chichi’s work unique is his ability to use boxing as a platform for personal development and mental wellbeing. Young people are naturally drawn to the energy and structure of the program, allowing important conversations around resilience, emotional regulation, confidence, and self-worth to occur in an environment that feels engaging and relatable.

our mission
At The Corner Project, our mission is to empower young people through movement, mentorship and meaningful connection. Using boxing as a vehicle for growth, we create safe, inclusive and supportive programs that build confidence, resilience, discipline and self-belief in children and young people from all walks of life.
We believe every young person deserves guidance, encouragement and someone in their corner. Through our schools’ programs, girl’s empowerment initiatives and youth resilience programs, we aim to positively impact lives both inside and outside the ring. Helping young people grow stronger mentally, emotionally and physically while creating brighter futures for the next generation.
BOX with us
The Corner Project is not simply a boxing program -it is a preventative wellbeing and youth engagement initiative designed to positively impact young people through movement, mentorship, connection, and structure.
Our programs are designed to support children and young people who may be struggling with confidence, emotional regulation, disengagement, behavioural challenges, social connection, or mental wellbeing.
Each session combines non-contact boxing fundamentals with mentorship, mindset coaching, teamwork, discipline, fitness, and resilience-building activities. The structure of the program creates a positive environment where participants learn important life skills while building confidence and emotional strength.
Our programs are inclusive, engaging, culturally supportive, and adaptable to schools, youth centres, community organisations, and regional outreach initiatives.
